This Weekend! San Antonio, TX

The End of an Era

R.I.P. My beloved Toyota Echo. I bought this car almost twenty years ago. It was the first car I bought after my divorce and, boy, did I choose correctly. It got me back and forth and back and forth and back and forth (did I mention back and forth?) between Utah and California countless times. It took me to over a decade of Sundance Film Festivals. It transported me from Ventura to LA every day for three years. 

To be honest, it's been sitting in our garage for years. It runs, but had flat tires, and needed some work. It had almost 300,000 miles on it. I LOVED this car and totally cried when it was taken away. It was necessary to part with it, but a heartbreak all the same. Goodbye, Echo. Thank you for all the miles and smiles. You were a great car.

Cynthia Gibb (!!!)

I loved the TV show, Fame, growing up - especially Cynthia Gibb! She was always so pretty and cool and I never thought I'd meet her in a million years.

Last weekend, I ran into her at a bar. She walked past me and I just knew it was her - so crazy. I ended up asking her if, in fact, it was her, and to my surprise and delight, it was! Yay! So stoked.

Jordie Foster

Jordie Foster is a really fun follow on Instagram. Not only is she related to both Sara and Erin Foster (love them), but she has the cutest kids and greatest style.

As she lives in New York, I was thrilled to see her spend a day in their Favorite Daughter store in Pacific Palisades last week so I could finally meet her! I *may* have rambled and talked way too much, but she was very sweet and didn't make me feel like the crazy loon I probably appeared to be. Thanks, Jordie!

Studs

Keith and I ventured out on Saturday night to watch our friend Charlie's band called Get Off My Lawn over in Thousand Oaks.
