Today's Facebook memory took me back ten years in time to when I met Nick Rhodes for the very first time.
I still cannot even begin to express how much that encounter meant to me. After dealing with a difficult breakup and being probably the lowest I've ever been, meeting Nick, along with a few of his bandmates from Duran Duran, was a real turning point for me. Meeting them at any time would have been special, but it meant even more considering everything going on at the time.
There's a reason this picture is my favorite one with Nick and why it's the card found on my debit card. Ten years ago, I found hope. Thanks, Facebook, for reminding me of such a special day.
