See You Next Month

Doesn't that sound so dramatic? See you next month? In reality we fly back on Thursday, February 28th, but won't get in until super late, so I expect to be back amongst the living on March 1st. 

In the meantime, we'll be checking out the magical land that is New Orleans and looking for the Vampire Lestat.

Pensacon, Here We Come!

If you need us this weekend, you can find us at Pensacon in Pensacola, Florida.

After that, we'll be in New Orleans, Louisiana and then Las Vegas. Phew! Catch you on the flip side!

Pinky's Fandance Flashback - Kevin Smith

This picture came up as a memory today and it's an important milestone because it basically started our whole upcoming adventure.

Long story short - while I'd met Kevin several times before (and he's always super nice to fans, BTW, so props to him) this was the day I told him a Keith story, which led him to say, "The dishes are done, man!" and how before he was making movies, he watched a lot of them, so he totally knew who Keith was. This encounter led to our giving him a dish which led to the magnets, which led to.....well, maybe someday I'll tell you the rest. But, as we're about the embark upon an epic journey, I thought it completely appropriate that Kevin be today's Fandance Flashback.

Bubba Love

We dropped off Bubba last night at my Dad's since we're about to leave for a week. I miss him already!

I mean, seriously, how can you not love this face?!?! He's the sweetest little puppers in the whole wide world.

As we were walking through the mall the other night after dinner, I saw these shoes in a store window. After confirming they had my size, the purchase was made.

It might possibly be the quickest shoe purchase I've ever made! Love them!

Pinky's Fandance - Kellie Pickler

Kellie Pickler was adorable in Christmas in Graceland, so I was stoked to see her at the Hallmark party.

Sadly, my Lumee light was running out of steam, so it wasn't as clear as I'd hoped. Still, she was as sweet as can be!

Sleepy Weekend

We have a really busy few weeks ahead of us, so I pretty much slept and relaxed a majority of this weekend. It's too bad I couldn't "store up" all the energy I'm going to need to get through all our travels. That would rule!

Still, I was very nice to have three days in a row where I was able to sleep in. Loved it!

See This: Isn't It Romantic

We went to see Isn't It Romantic the other day and totally and completely fell in LOVE with it. Rebel Wilson is so much fun to watch and the film just works on every level.

Basically it's about a girl who hates romantic comedies, but then hits her head and suddenly finds herself trapped inside a romantic comedy. For anyone who happens to love rom-coms (like me), this is a fantastic way to spend an hour and a half. I laughed and smiled the entire time! Check it out if you get a chance!

Loved meeting Kavan Smith at the Hallmark party! What a great guy!

I didn't used to think he was a typical leading man, but I've gotta admit he's totally grown on me. Love his energy!

At this time next week we'll be in Pensacola, Florida at Pensacon before heading over to a secret location for a few days.

Cookie Dough Dreams

A new dessert place opened up near us and they serve cookie dough as dessert!

In other words, ALL MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!!!

I do have to admit, though, that a little went a long way. There's no way I could ever eat a large cookie dough cup. I could barely split a child size with Keith.

This was our creation - chocolate chip cookie dough with Reese's Pieces and Butterfinger toppings mixed in. Delicious!
