I stumbled upon Table 19 quite by accident as it was playing on cable and there wasn't much else on. While I vaguely remember hearing about it when it was released, I never heard much after that, so I never really had any preconceived notions.
At first, I wasn't sure if I'd like it, as it was already 45 minutes into the film and looked kind of a mess. But, slowly, it grew on me. As I continued to watch, I became more and more invested with each character and by the end, I was smiling and wondering how it had begun. After setting the DVR to record the entire movie the next time it aired, I was anxious to share it with Keith. We both ended up watching the whole movie last night and really, really enjoyed it. The cast of characters are quirky and it has a rewatchable quality where you catch new things the more you see it. It was reminiscent of The Breakfast Club, where people who normally wouldn't interact end up becoming friends, and by the end you were rooting for all of them. I kind of loved it and will probably end up watching it again and again.
