See You at Marvelous Nerd Year's Eve

Aaaaand, we're off! For the next five days, we'll be in Dallas, TX as guests of Marvelous Nerd Year's Eve.
If you're in the area, please stop by and say hi! Otherwise, I'll see you in the new year! Seriously, 2017 can't come quick enough.

Family Time on Christmas

We spent some family time over Christmas with both of our families.
On Christmas Eve, we had dinner with Keith's mom and step-dad.
On Christmas morning, we hung out with this sweetie boy, Sammy Rhodes.
And on Christmas afternoon, we hung out with this bunch. Great dinner cooked by dad - always love his BBQ! Yum!

Pinky's Fandance Flashback - Snoop Dogg

We had lunch with an old friend the other day who works with Snoop and it reminded me of the time Phoenix and I came across Snoop randomly on the street.
He was so sweet to us! What a cool guy. Love this picture!

Matchy Matchy

My BYU girls are the cutest. Both Shmeg and Crusty sent all of us the same thing so we'd be matchy this Christmas. Crusty's present was a nightie shirt that said, "Santa, I can explain!" Apparently she based that on me (who, me?). :)
We all sent in selfies of ourselves wearing the shirts and Crusty put together this adorable collage. Love it! And love my girls!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Friday Edition

Hello and welcome to Friday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Where on earth did that ponytail come from? Also, no.
I love you, Parker. Please don't ever change.
Melissa, sweetie, please don't ever make that face again.
Cuteness!
Do I even want to know why he matched his shorts to his bucket?

Family Time

We headed down South on Saturday to delivery presents to my brother Jay's adorable little family. We hadn't seen them in forever!
The kids all seemed pleased with their presents.
Then we headed over to In -n- Out for a little lunch.
This picture cracks me up!
Look at this sweet little miss.
Jay's mini me.
Brother time!
With the kiddos.
Group shot! Had a great time hanging with their little brood. Thanks for the awesome light projector!

Pinky's Fandance - Barry Pearl

Squee! A fangirl's love is deep and true. One of my all-time favorite movies is Grease and being able to meet any of the cast always makes my day. I can't believe I've met so many of them over the years! At this point, I'm only missing one Pink Lady and one Greaser. Can you believe it?!?! Never did I imagine that would be the case.
A few weeks ago, I learned that Barry Pearl - aka "Doody" from the original film - was starring in Sleeping Beauty playing at the Laguna Playhouse. I just knew I had to meet him. Thankfully, Keith knew someone at the playhouse who was able to arrange a meet and greet with Barry before his second performance on Saturday.
What a cool guy! I could not have enjoyed spending time with him more. It was like hanging out with an old friend.
We chatted for quite awhile and he was so awesome to talk to. Sleeping Beauty is playing for the rest of this week, so I strongly encourage you to check it out if you get a chance! Thanks, Barry, for making my day! And huge thanks to the Laguna Playhouse.

R.I.P. Legends

I'd be remiss if I started off today with anything other than a tribute to those we've lost over the holiday. My heart is full for the friends and families of these two larger than life performers and beloved stars.
The first, of course, is the amazing George Michael. I must have worn out a million tapes listening to his magical voice over and over again. I loved him and am so sad to hear of his passing at the far too young age of 53.
The second is everyone's Princess, Carrie Fisher. I'd so hoped that she'd be able to pull through after her heart attack last week, but alas, that was not to be. Aside from Star Wars, my favorite performance of hers was in When Harry Met Sally - she cracked me up as the best friend, Marie. May the Force be with you, Carrie.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Does she know we can see all of her naughty bits?
What happened to the other sleeve?
Love everything about this dress.
Well, the arms are...interesting.
Yikes. That looks like trouble.

Happy Holidays!

From our family to yours, happy holidays!
Also, will be celebrating the holidays with family, so this blog will return to its regularly scheduled programming next Tuesday, December 27th. Until then, happy, merry, and bright! Cheers!

Nona Rose

Our good friends Steve and Tonya were in town this week from Texas and they were staying at the Grand Californian hotel at Disneyland. I headed down for dinner one night and had an amazing time.
I'd never eaten at Nona Rose, but it was spectacular.
Like, this steak was worth every penny. Delicious!
Plus, the company was delightful as always!
After dinner their girls MJ and Zada met up with us in the lobby.
There was even this super cool gingerbread house of the hotel. I loved it! Great night all around.
