Cabbage Patch Doll Surprise

Back in the day, my sister and I wanted only one thing in life: a Cabbage Patch doll. As that was the year of the crazed Cabbage Patch doll fights, finding one was extremely difficult and despite my mom's best efforts (I do realize she tried very hard to find them; this is not in any way an attempt to slag my mother. I know how hard she tried), we did not get our heart's desire when Christmas came. Instead, we got some homemade dolls that never really took the place of the doll we longed for.

Now, we grew up in a very loving home and this was probably the first (and only) time we didn't get something we wanted....which is why it still smarts to this day.

My sister surprised me last night with my very own Cabbage Patch doll! Isn't she gorgeous?!?! I love her!
