So, the Sundance Film Festival began yesterday in Park City, Utah and, once again, I'm not there. It's a strange thing to have something be such a huge part of your life for so long and then suddenly be gone. I'd like to say that I don't read articles or look at the pictures coming out of the festival, but that would be a lie. I'm some sort of masochist that enjoys seeing what's going on.
But I certainly don't miss Utah, or the snow, or the cold, or the crowds. I'm sure I'll go back someday, but for now I'm perfectly content being in my homestate with sunshine on my face, the ocean a short drive away, and my feet perfectly warm (and not soaking wet/cold as they always were during the festival).
