Magical Day

Last night was just supposed to be a lazy night in, recovering from the never-ending cold that's been afflicting the Coogan household. We'd eaten dinner, were in our pajamas, and chilling out with the TV when suddenly I started to see images on Twitter talking about a Duran Duran party....
Images like this, talking about the band meeting their new label (Warner Brothers Records) and showing off pictures of the festivities.
So, I was just looking at the pictures and wondering where it was when it occured to me that Warner Brothers is RIGHT DOWN THE STREET. Like, literally, a mile from our house. I asked Keith where it was and he confirmed how close it was.
Before Keith could even say, "What's going on?" I was dressed and about to jump in the car. I grabbed the few prime items I'd been wanting Nick to sign and was on my way. Although I had no idea if it was even accessible, I had to try, right?
Maybe it would be a bust, but it was too close not to try. Plus, let's face it, we all know I've gone much farther and done much crazier things in my quest to meet Duran Duran (don't judge me).
When I got there, I was shocked that it was such an open building, no security, parking right out front, and these balloons which let me know I was in the right place. I looked inside and saw my beloved band members. I actually could have walked right in, but I had these amazing items with me and felt like I might stand out like a dork. Plus, let's be honest, I'm a big chicken.
Not too long after, I met some great girls who worked at WB and we were chatting for awhile, a bit off to the side (in case the band left from the employee parking lot on the side). The girls were so awesome they even gave me some of the buttons from the party. Score! Suddenly, I saw Nick and some of the band walking to a car back at the entrance which was like half a block away from where we were standing. I started running down the street as fast as I could screaming, "Nick! Nick!" Yeah, subtle I'm not. But, Nick was nice enough to wait for me and then sign the laser disc, the Interview magazine, take a picture with me (despite how much my hands were shaking) and then, finally, finishing my tattoo!
As you may recall, the last time I had Nick sign my leg, he only signed, "Nick," which has driven me crazy ever since. But, finally he added the Rhodes! Hooray! Of course I had to have it tattooed immediately - I'd been waiting almost five years for the additional name! My new friends pointed me in the direction of their fave tattoo place and off I went.
Here's an action shot of the tattoo process. Ouch!
And, finally, here's a collage I put together of all the fun stuff that happened yesterday. I still can't even believe it! I'm SO excited!!! Thanks, Nick, for making my whole day!

Pinky's Fandance Redux - Nick Rhodes

It's no secret that Nick Rhodes is pretty much my #1 celeb (aside from Keith Coogan, of course). My love for him is deep and true and any time I'm able to see him and get a pic is a pretty great day.
It was so awesome to get my first picture with him in 2009 (after loving him from afar since 1984) - never in a million years did I think I'd ever meet him, let alone have FOUR pictures with him.
Seriously, pinch me!

He Loves Me

I came yesterday to find these beautiful pink roses, a lovely get well card, and some delicious treats from my gorgeous husband. How lucky am I?!?!
The macadamia nuts tasted exactly like Hawaii - they transported us back in time!
Thanks, babe! You're the best! Love you!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition

Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Why is Helen trying to eat Katie? And did they plan to wear matching outfits?
I LOVE Hilary's hair - it looks so cute!
Why does David Lee Roth have a weird band-aid on his nose? Creepy creeper!
That is never OK.
Is she sporting Oscar the Grouch couture?

Max's Birthday Party

We headed up to my nephew, Max's, birthday party on Saturday which was held over at Golf 'n Stuff.
Here are Phoe and Max about to do the bumper boats.
My sister showing us how it's done.
Baby Zane! Already getting so big and cute!
My handsome hubby and his great form. Hubba hubba.

Pinky's Fandance - Lachlan Patterson

I'm always nervous about getting pictures at shows with comics because I never know if they're planning on staying afterwards or if I need to wait for them to arrive. It makes me crazy the entire show worrying about it. Even though Lachlan was great about replying to my tweet the other day and saying, "Pics 4sho," I still knew I'd be nervous the whole time.
As luck would have it, when we were looking for parking, we stumbled upon Lachlan standing near his car. Score!
He posed again after the show, but I love the group shot of us. So fun!

Date Night

Before The Illness fell upon our house, I'd picked up some tickets to see one of our faves from Last Comic Standing last season, Lachlan Patterson, perform in Pasadena.
Although we still weren't really feeling 100%, we rallied to make it to the show.
Awwww....
Awwww....
Lachlan was great and we really enjoyed his opening act, as well.
Our seats were right up front! Couldn't have planned it better! Thanks for a fun date night, babe!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Wednesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
That's basically just a bathing suit top, right?
Are those shoes? Socks? Torture devices?
Molly actually looks pretty good with blonde hair.
This is some sort of cry for help, right?
She can't possibly think she's "ballin'" in this atrocity.
