Last night was the series finale of my beloved Parks and Recreation and it was perfectly done. This show was so awesome and I'm glad it was able to have the send-off it deserved.
You know, it took awhile for the show to find its happy place. After the first season, it wasn't really gelling and then all of sudden, it got really good. I'd started to watch because of my loyalty to SNL and wanting to give Amy Poehler a chance, but then all of a sudden it was Must Watch TV. And has been for me ever since.I think the best part of the show - aside from all the sarcasm - were the relationships between the co-workers and friends. Yes, each individual may have been "extreme" in their own way, but you grew to love them all. Yes, even Gary/Jerry/Terry.
Parks had such a subtle way about it - I loved that it was a "smart" humor. They looked like they were having a blast and it showed in every storyline that was done.
This was definitely one of my favorite moments from the show - Ben and Leslie getting married. I'll miss this incredibly funny, emotional, and sweet show. Goodbye, Parks and Recreation. Thank you for the laughs.
