I know, I know, this was a bit out of order, as we took Highway One on our way to Monterey, but I'd be remiss not to have mentioned our harrowing drive up the coast.
Although I'd driven it once before, I totally forgot about the terrifying road. Keith did a great job maneuvering around the curvy and scary road, but after 77 miles, we were quite done with it.
Yes, it's a gorgeous drive, but the curves were just too much for me
(not to mention my fear of heights). After that horrifying bus ride to the top of Hearst Castle, this was too much!
Huge thanks to my brave husband for being such a great driver! But I think we'll be taking Highway 101 from now on.
