The other night we were super lucky to be able to attend the 35th anniversary reunion of The Facts of Life held at the Paley Center for Media.
What a treat to be able to see these beautiful ladies in person - especially considering how much I loved the show growing up.
To prepare for the reunion, we had these awesome shirts made - don't we look sharp?!?!
I loved being there with my sister and husband.
They started out by showing an episode from 1982 and then had a panel with the main cast members, Nancy McKeon, Lisa Whelchel, Mindy Cohn, and Charlotte Rae
(all were there except for Kim Fields who didn't come due to some B.S. excuse about having a baby - which happened a LONG time ago. If she didn't want to come, fine, but she'd filmed a movie and promoted it already AFTER having the baby, so it made no sense to use that as her excuse). About halfway into the Q&A, Geri Jewell joined the group, as well.
Lisa tweeted out this picture of her and Nancy which made me so happy because their chemistry onstage was my favorite part of the Q&A. Well, that and the fact that "Mrs. Garrett" said, "Scared sh*tless!"
I took this with my iPhone and think it's such a great shot. I love that I got Mindy laughing heartily.

Lest we forget, I'd been able to meet a few others from the show at earlier times - Geri Jewell,
Cloris Leachman
(who took over for Charlotte Rae for the last few seasons),
George Clooney (!),
and last, but certainly not least, MacKenzie Astin. Super fun night!
