Keith and I had been planning on seeing Brooks Wheelan at Largo for a few weeks. The other day, Brooks started giving out additional tickets on Twitter and I was one of the lucky ones who got a pair. As we already had tickets, we invited our friends Andre and Michelle to come along and make it a double date night.
We started out at Norm's restaurant for some dinner. Normally I've had fairly good experiences there, but last night was a total disaster. You know how sometimes one person's food gets held up a bit, or brought out second? Yeah, that was mine last night, except it came out like FIFTEEN minutes after everyone else's. Can you imagine!?! But, at least they cooked my rare steak well done. So, that was nice. Needless to say, we were not pleased. What made it worse was that the only thing the waiter did was say, "It's the cooks!" as though that make it OK. Terrible service. Terrible dinner. Terrible experience.
But, at least we were in good company! Here's the group right before we went into the theater.
I really dig the Largo - I've seen a ton of shows there. The open air courtyard is so quaint and cute. The seats are uncomfortable, but it's still a great venue.
