New Chair

This picture doesn't do it justice, but we got a new chair from our favorite store (aka the sidewalk) the other day (don't judge; most of our apartment was furnished from there). 

You probably can't tell from Sammy's face, but he's a big fan - how could he not be? It's SO comfy! It's this great white color and it even came with a cool ottoman. Stoked! Perfect addition to our palace.

Pinky's Fandance - Randee Heller

Randee Heller wasn't only in the original Karate Kid, but she also played Miss Blankenship on Mad Men.

In other words, she's a legend. Hopefully she got some good ring candles at the gifting suite the other day!

Farewell, True Blood

True Blood came to an end the other night with its long-awaited series finale.

As a huge fan of the show, I was sorry to see it go, although I must admit to being less than thrilled with the past few seasons.

This last season has been better, but it was still time for it to die its True Death.

Of course, we all know I'm going to miss only one thing about it.....

Pinky's Fandance - Beau Bridges

Beau Bridges is not only talented, but he has a reputation of being one of the nicest celebs around. I'm happy to report that it's totally true.

What you can't see in this picture was that we were basically stuck around a bush, so he had to go out of his way to come over. Nicely done, Mr. Bridges.

Cupcake ATMs

The other day we came across a cupcake ATM. What the heck? I mean, I'd heard of such things, but thought they were more of a novelty that wouldn't really last. 

Do people really run out of the house at 3 a.m. in search of a fancy shmancy cupcake? I can't imagine I'd ever need one so bad, but what do I know. I wonder how well they do? Has anyone ever used one?

Pinky's Fandance - Tina Majorino

I've loved watching pretty much every thing Tina Majorino's ever done - she was amazing on When a Man Loves a Man; Corrina, Corrina; Napoleon Dynamite; and even my beloved Grey's Anatomy. I've always wanted to meet her.

Finally last week I had my chance! Isn't her hair awesome? She's just the cutest thing and SO incredibly nice.

Best. Logo. Ever.

At the gifting suite the other day, I saw someone with a bag that said, "Sparkle in Pink." To my surprise and delight, he'd gotten the bag at a booth we were about to go to!

Of course I had to take a picture of their sign. So cool.

Ring Candles - My New Favorite Thing

Friends, I have a new obsession and they're called Ring Candles. Several different companies make them, but they all have one thing in common - there's a hidden ring inside (which can cost anywhere from $10 to $5,000!). It's like Cracker Jacks for adults!!! 

I was first exposed to them when my dear friend Angie got me one for my birthday - in fact, the candle on the far left (the "I Love My Friend" candle) is from her. But last weekend we got THREE more at the gifting suite and suddenly I became obsessed with getting the rings out of them.

The candle on the far right - Sugar Me Pink - is from Cracker Jack Candles (http://www.crackerjackcandles.com/) and revealed the double heart ring above. The orange candle is from Bella Candles (http://www.bellacandles.com/) and revealed the shiny heart ring above.

Last night I found two more!!! My "Friend" candle from Angie (which was from the "original" Ring Candles makers, Diamond Candles, https://www.diamondcandles.com/) revealed the amazing pinkish/purple ring above and the last candle, the green one, revealed the orange ring above (it was also from Bella Candles). Love these SO much and all of the rings are so fun to find! How do I order a million more???
