Last night we were extremely lucky to have been given tickets to see the "official" opening night event of "Once" (the musical) at the Pantages theater in Hollywood.
Although we weren't really sure what to expect, we knew it couldn't be any worse than the last play we saw (that's all I'm going to say about that).
From the minute it began, we were both totally hooked. The music, the sets, the subtle gestures and movement....everything was exquisite.
In fact, we would've been fine if it had just been some people singing the entire time - THAT'S how good the music was.
Of course, there was a storyline - a cute little love story - but the main focus is the music and it's phenomenal.
Although it was based on the movie
(seems a bit in reverse), if you get a chance, I highly recommend seeing the Broadway play. It's amazing!!!
