The other day we were lucky enough to not only get to see a free screening of Saving Mr. Banks, but to see it on the Disney lot! How cool was that? I have to admit: watching a film where a majority of it happens in the very spot you're sitting seemed to make it a lot more memorable.
Of course, I think the film would be great either way, but it seemed especially wonderful because we've been watching a bunch of sad, racially-charged movies lately
(The Butler, 12 Years a Slave, etc.), so it was a welcome relief to see a light-hearted, tear-jerker with plenty of things to make you smile included.
The actors all did a great job, especially Emma Thompson as P.L. Travers. I loved the film and recommend seeing it to anyone who is interested in seeing it. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Enjoy it!
