Dan Stevens was one of the MAIN people I was hoping to meet at Sundance this year, as he's usually located overseas or in New York. You see, Dan played Captain Matthew Crawley on my beloved Downton Abbey, so it was imperative that I meet him.
The tricky part? His movie played at MIDNIGHT on our first full day at Sundance. I was hoping to see him during the day, but, alas, we never did. So, I had a choice: Try and rally to stay up until he arrived for his film (around 11 p.m.) and know FOR SURE that I would see him (and then, most likely, see him everywhere for the next few days), or risk not trying and then never seeing him again. Thankfully I have the World's Most Supportive Husband who, despite being beyond exhausted, knew how much it meant to me to try and meet Dan and encouraged me to stay. I AM SO GLAD I DID because, sadly, we never saw Dan again after that first night. THANK YOU, babe! And look at those eyes....*swoon*
