For Keith's birthday, we took a romantic getaway up the coast to stay at our favorite place - the SeaVenture Resort in Pismo Beach.
After all the adventures on the road, we arrived at the perfect time - just as the sun was setting.
The SeaVenture is gorgeous - it's right on the beach and the rooms have their own fireplaces and hot tubs. It's magical.
Look how cute the rooms are! They even sent Keith some champagne and gave him a card for his birthday - now THAT's cool! Of course, the check-in guy totally fanboyed out over Keith
(which was awesome). I love seeing that.
For dinner we went to F. McLintock's over in Shell Beach. As I grew up about a half hour away, I remember eating there during many different occasions, but I don't remember it being quite this delicious. Everything was perfect!
They even made Keith a delicious dessert. YUM!
The next day, after a leisurely morning, we stopped at Splash Cafe for a quick lunch. Yes, the lines really do get that big
(and they're worth it!).
I think he was pretty happy with his lunch! Such a great getaway - can't wait to do it again.
