Here's the thing: I lived in Utah for a really long time - over ten years - and have a ton of friends who live there. While I realize not all of them can come to the wedding (nor do we have room to invite every single person I've ever met), I'd really like to celebrate with my friends and introduce them to my love.
I've been toying with the idea of visiting Utah at some point before our wedding, but wasn't sure when it would work out. Then the other day I got a wedding announcement from my dear friend Vicki (that I worked with at Sundance) over the weekend of September 28th in Salt Lake City. As we'll be in Vegas on Friday, September 27th anyway (since Keith is teaching an acting class), I figured that's the perfect time to come. Her wedding is at four on Saturday, so maybe we can have a pre-reception / shower type thing earlier in the day (maybe a brunch?). I don't know. Obviously I don't have a place to have it, nor do I even know how many people it would entail, but probably an open house type thing would work best (so that we weren't limited by numbers, but people could be in and out) with a small / simple offering of food. I don't know how it'll all work, but I'm hoping my Utah friends had some ideas. Anyone? :)

We could do it at my house. I think it would be fun. My only hesitation is we are doing a little remodel work which I really hope is done by then, but you know how that stuff goes! I'm also in Draper so I don't know if that is too far from SLC. But, I'd love to do it. Let me know.
