Last night I attended a charity event at the Geffen Playhouse featuring Rita Wilson in concert singing from her album "AM/FM." I'll admit to not having high hopes - if you must know, I was hoping to see Tom Hanks there (which I did, but he was too quick to ask for a picture).
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by Rita's performance - she looked like she was having a great time, had a good band, and I enjoyed the song selection. My biggest complaint? She's an Alto, but thinks she's a Soprano, so she kept singing things she had no business singing. I'm pretty sure my ears started bleeding at one point.Luckily, I was with my girl, Liz, and we had a great time. Even though Rita and Tom snuck out after we waited for over an hour and a half after the concert ended (which is shady considering it was a charity event) and the few celebrities in the crowd weren't super nice (I'm looking at you, Tom Ford), it was fun to hang with Lizzie.
