OK, I'm going to tell you this right now: If you don't like a lot of violence, this isn't the movie for you. However, if you happen to like pretty things (Benicio Del Toro, for example, except that he's not pretty or even enjoyable to watch in this because his character is so awful; Blake Lively, Taylor "Liar Liar Pants on Fire" Kitsch, or Aaron Johnson), then you might be able to overlook like the violence like I did. Yes, there were times I had to shield my eyes from the screen because of what was happening, but it was worth it.
To tell you the truth, I half expected to hate this movie just because I've been looking forward to it for so long. But, I'm happy to report that I loved it - and not just for the Benicio or hotness factor.Oliver Stone did a great job telling an intriguing story with characters you felt passionately about - basically you either passionately loved them or passionately hated them. John Travolta looked like a cartoon character. Salma Hayek was incredible. And Taylor and Aaron were completely delicious. It's a great film, seriously. I don't think I'll make a point to rewatch it over and over, but I really enjoyed it. Well done.
