Why Be Normal?
Sometimes I look around at other people and think I should be more like them. I should have a house, a family, 2.5 kids, and a mortgage. I should dress like a grown up, stop wearing so much pink, and not wear sparkly glitter shoes (that may or may not be on my feet at this second). My walls shouldn't be covered in pictures of Duran Duran and Sam Trammell and I definitely shouldn't accessorize all my outfits with Hello Kitty (she says, wearing a Hello Kitty necklace). I should drive a practical car that isn't covered with clothes and my room shouldn't resemble the same mess it was in when I was in high school. My dog shouldn't be one of the most important things in my life and I should have boring, practical hobbies instead of collecting pictures with stars.
But, why? What's the point of all that? Doing the things I love the way I do them makes me happy. Why be normal? Doesn't sound fun to me at all.
