Pinky's Fandance - Ryan Reynolds
Many years ago I saw Ryan Reynolds on Main St. during Sundance. I asked him for a picture and he shot me down, claiming he was in a hurry. I was totally bummed because I'd watched him for years - beginning with the TV show Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place (terrible name for a show, BTW). I really hoped I'd get another shot to see him.
Thankfully, I randomly saw Ryan again the other day and was finally able to get my pic. At first he was trying to avoid me and and my friend because he thought we were paparazzi, but we assured him we were just fans and then he agreed. I don't think he was stoked, but he was much nicer after finding out we weren't annoying paps. Yay!
I’m glad you got an opportunity to meet him. He is a nice guy. Fans blog very ugly comments when they do not get the photos or whatever, but these people are just that people with lives that work in that industry. They do get too busy to stop. Fans tend to think they should just do what they want because they pay to see them and fail to realize they are not animals in the zoo to be ogled at. Money and fame, does not make them less human.
ReplyDeleteThank you, me too! As someone who enjoys getting pictures with celebs, I really do try to be respectful of their time. I know they're people and not animals in a zoo. I certainly try to be mindful of where they are - say, with their family having dinner on their own time instead of promoting a film or show. It was really cool of Ryan to be nice to us in his down time; I know he didn't have to, but I really did appreciate it.
