Happy Leap Year!
Wouldn't it be nice if Leap Year were a real holiday where we could stay home and get organized? Or that some little Organizer Fairy came to your house and cleared up all your crap? That would rule, right? Or is that just me?
Regardless, Happy Leap Year! Remember whatever happens today doesn't count. :)
Pinky's Fandance - Beverly D'Angelo
Beverly D'Angelo is, apparently, a "rare" celebrity - meaning she's not seen out in public or at events a lot. Because of this, she was mobbed as if she was the President of the United States last night when she arrived at the play.
I really thought my chances for photo were slim to none, but luckily Beverly is over-the-top nice to fans. Even with Security trying to shoo people away, she was as cool as can be and pulled me over for a photo. Hooray! Now I've got both of the Griswold parents. :)
Over the Rainbow About Sam Harris
Growing up, there was nothing bigger in my house than Star Search. We LOVED Star Search and watched it religiously - especially that first year it was on the air. It seems like we even did some contest to predict the winners - that's how hard-core we were about our love for the show.
By far, our fave show performer of all-time was Sam Harris. His rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" blew us away and we couldn't wait for him to win the big prize (which he did).
Last night I was at a play opening and happened to see Sam Harris walk by. Sam Harris! My mind exploded and I'm fairly certain I geeked out all over him. He was SO sweet and didn't even look at me like I was crazy (which, I maybe, sorta, kinda, might've been a wee bit). Thanks, Sam! Still amazing.

Sammy Takeover
So, since I've had Sammy he's been sleeping in a crate next to my bed at night. This has worked out fine, except I kind of hate closing the door on his little "jail cell" before bed. During naps he sleeps with me, so slowly but surely he's been weasling his way onto sleeping with me in the bed. Last week he finally managed the final transformation into sleeping with me permanently. At some point I might just get him a little bed near me (once my room is finally cleaned up), but for now it's been nice to have his cute little self snuggling me at night. It's not quite as annoying as I imagined, I just don't want to roll over and crush him. :)
Pinky's Fandance - Shanola Hampton
If you've ever seen the highly addictive show Shameless, you'll be familiar with the incredible Shanola Hampton. She plays the upstairs neighbor and best friend of the Gallagher family and is always stealing scenes.
I had the opportunity to meet her at a party last week and she was so cool. Like, out of her way nice - even wanting to be sure I approved of the photo first. Loved her.
Funny Funnies - Oscar Edition
Celebrity Wrap Up - Thursday Edition
Hello and welcome to Thursday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
I'd like to rag on her hair, but I love that style too much. No, I'm not joking. I'd rock that look all day long (don't judge me).
As un-fan friendly and annoying Natalie might be, she does look super happy and adorable. Loved her dress.

Star Studded Event
As I mentioned last week, there are SO many events going on during Oscar week in LA that it boggles the mind. While I'm stoked with the pictures I was lucky enough to get, on a few of the days I definitely felt like I picked the wrong event to attend. Still, sometimes it's fun to just be somewhere and see all the people.
One such event was Friday night when we hit the CAA party. The star power there was out of this world. First up? Vince Vaughn. He's tall! Of course he didn't acknowledge us at all, but it was fun to see him.
So, we're standing there at a barricade when a car pulls up in front of us. In the back seat, with the light on, sat Bette Midler. Just sitting there. Less than a foot away. As soon as someone said her name, she clicked off the light so as not to let the "peasants" look upon her. You could tell she was a piece of work, but that's what made it all the more fun. We yelled stuff like, "We're right here, Bette. We'll see you on the way out!"Less than five minutes after Bette went in, Meryl Street drove up. My friend is dying for a picture with her and kept going, "Let's do this, Meryl!"
A few minutes later, Julia Roberts got out of a car. Julia Roberts! She, at least, waved at the fans. I appreciated that.
As Julia was making her way to the door, Sandra Bullock showed up and they embraced. At this point they'd all arrived within 10 or 15 minutes of each other and my head was spinning from that much star power. Also at the party? Salma Hayek, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz (just to name a few). We joked that Meryl was inside giving English lessons to Penelope. Hey, we'd been out there awhile and you start to get punchy. I haven't laughed that hard in a long, long time. Fun night!

Oscar Recap
I actually really enjoyed the Oscars. Of course, I spent half of it debating whether or not it was worth it to get off the couch and try to find the parties, but still. Had I just decided I was staying home, I would've been much less stressed out.
This photo disturbs me. Why is Martin being a walrus? Why is Catherine wearing the most unflattering mirrors on earth? So many questions.
J.Lo, sweetie, nice try, but we know you were flashing the world. My eyes were not deceiving me. You showed nip.
Funniest part of the show? Drinking to Scorsese's name. Loved it.
