6) The Holiday. Now, it's possible it's a little long, but for the most part it's a fun journey. It's one of the few times I can actually tolerate Cameron Diaz and Jude Law is a world of yum. Kate Winslet is also a gem and Jack Black is as adorable as ever.
5) The Family Man. A MUST SEE for anyone who hasn't, Nicolas Cage is amazingly wonderful in this fantastic film about someone who gets a glimpse at what could have been. While it's true I've got a bit of a soft spot for Nicolas Cage (he is my #2 and all), even people who don't love him will fall in love with the film. 4) The Family Stone. This movie is a perfect combination of drama, humor, and rip your heart out moments while still managing to make you care about the complex and very real characters. Sometimes ensemble casts can be too much, but they nailed the cast on this one. It's extraordinary.
3) Elf. Very few movies continue to make me laugh as much as Elf still does. In fact, I laugh just thinking about some of the silly lines ("Saw a dog today") and adorable moments. Will Ferrell was perfect in this role and I never get tired of watching it.
2) Love Actually. This film is perfect and if I didn't love my #1 movie on this list so much, it would definitely be #1. I love it SO much though. Great cast, fun storylines, and just heartwarmingly beautiful, it's a must see holiday film that I've practically memorized by now.
1) The Santa Clause. I don't know why this movie resonates with me so much, but I've never laughed so hard in a film in all my life. When I first saw it in the theater (while on a double date with my BFF) I literally laughed at one part for at least ten minutes and my movie companions started getting embarrassed. I just couldn't stop! To this day it's the one film I have to watch to launch my holiday season. So. Much. Fun. I could do without the sequels - the original is the best.
I'm going to have to steal this idea from you...
