Love At First Bite
Pinky's Fandance - Adam Hicks
When you have a skateboarding-obsessed nephew, you end up watching more episodes of Zeke and Luther (a Disney show about skateboarders) than you care to admit. Adam Hicks happens to play Luther on the show.
I recently ran into Adam at a benefit screening of Ides of March and had to get the picture with him to show my little nephew, Max. I wish Max had been with me to meet Luther - how great would that have been? Perhaps another day. Adam was super nice, despite having to pose with someone old enough to be his mother. Maybe he gets that all the time?
Rent This: Beginners
Great news! Beginners, starring Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer, is finally on DVD. Hooray! I've been wanting to see it ever since it was in the theaters and I finally had my chance last night. In the spirit of honesty, I can tell you that my dad didn't love it as much as I did. In fact, he didn't like it at all, but then again, he wasn't really paying attention and the movie jumps around to various time periods. I always love movies that do something different and Beginners was definitely unique in its storytelling. Plus, it prominently features a little dog and they even show what the dog is thinking. I really enjoyed it. If you're in the mood for a moving story with terrific performances, check it out.

Pinky's Fandance Flashback - John Cusack
I love John Cusack. I love his work, I love his dry humor, I love his movies, I love his delivery. Know what I don't like? His attitude. He. Is. Rude.
I'm not going to lie - finding out that John Cusack is not, in fact, Lloyd Dobler, broke my spirit a little bit. I was devastated. I was the first person to ask him for a picture after his premiere and he counted down the seconds. His exact response? "Fine, take your picture, three, two, one, go." Um....thanks?
Car Lockout: Take Two
Last night I got out of the car, went to get the mail, and realized that I locked the car with the keys sitting right there on the front seat. On top of my cell phone. On top of my purse. On top of my groceries. On top of dinner. WTF.
This, of course, was after a neverending day of being sick at work, getting stuck in the Longest Line in the World at Wal-mart, and then two hours of traffic home. Ugh. Not a good time. Not good at all. Luckily, my insurance company allows for FIVE roadside problems per year....so, even though I JUST DID THIS a few months ago (stupid blonde hair), I got another get of jail card free! :) Wahoo!

My List for Santa
It's that time of year again...the air turns crisp, the holiday music blasts in every corner, and kids the world over make their lists for Santa. Since I'm the kid that never grows up, I thought I'd make Santa a cyber list so that he can see what I'd like for Christmas. Aren't I nice? Now, in no particular order....my list: 1) I can't believe I've never heard of this. I've been wanting to do something similar, so I'm a little bent outta shape that someone stole my idea! I wonder what they do on this that's different from mine? I have to know! It's a DVD about Duran Duran fans! I must own this. Please, Santa. Hear my pleas.
2) Socks. Plain white boring socks. I know, I know, big snooze, but I've got bad feet and have to wear socks all the time. My socks are lame. I like these kind with the half ankles. Everyone can always use more socks.
3) In a similar fashion, undies are always good. I love these kind, called it-se-bit-se. They used to sell them at Costco, but I was able to find them online at http://frenchdressing.com/4) I know we've talked about it before, but my camera is really, really sucking. I'm desperate for a new camera that can handle the amount of pictures I take. I think the Samsung Multi-view camera is up to the task!
5) This isn't critical, it's just something I'd like someday. An actual keyboard for my iPad - isn't it awesome?
6) If these were in order, this would be #1, of course - Nick Rhodes in a box! What's that? He doesn't come in a box? Well, why not?!?! Sheesh! He should!
Pinky's Fandance - Jeremy Sisto
As Jane Levy was featured on Fandance the other day from the hilarious show Suburgatory, I thought we'd take a look back at another star from that show, Jeremy Sisto, who plays her father. I met Jeremy at Sundance way back in 2004 (as evidenced by the Sundance logo behind us). I'd loved his work on Six Feet Under and was super excited to meet him. I remember being surprised that he had a British (at least I think it was British) accent when I asked him for a picture. I never knew he rocked an accent! Hot stuff!
Non Surprisingly....Sick
In what should be a surprise to, well, no one, I'm sick. Shocking, I know, considering Mr. Sniffles came to work on his death bed all last week. The only thing I'm surprised about is that it waited until after Thanksgiving to fully hit. Grrrr.
It's a weird cold. Sore throat, sniffles, cough, yes. But it's the neverending bout of sleepiness that's killing me. I walked Sammy yesterday and it took every last bit of energy I had. I couldn't even rally to watch Once Upon a Time and I love that show. Instead, I went back to bed. For the millionth time. Boring.
