An Open Letter to Apple
Dear Apple,
Here's a tip: If you're going to make the iPhone 4S ridiculously hard to obtain, but then appear to be helpful and try to offer a way to "reserve" it at 9 p.m. every night, perhaps you should be prepared for the high level of traffic this time crunch will cause and not have your server crash every five seconds. Seriously, it took me FOREVER last night to try again and again on your system, only to be told the traffic volume was too high, the server timed out, or, just nothing at all because the whole site didn't even work 75% of the time. This is simply unacceptable. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BUY MY ALREADY BELOVED NEW IPHONE!?!?! Heaven forbid I go to the store and take my chance that you *might* have one - I need a guarantee!!! Egads. This process is going to kill me. Is that what you're trying for?!!?
Unsincerely yours,
Pinky Lovejoy
