I'm not sure if I've ever told you this before, but I'm not a huge Mexican food eater. Don't get me wrong, I like it fine, and I'll definitely enjoy it from time to time, but it's not something I'd eat every day. I pretty much have to be in the mood for it. Well, for whatever reason, I haven't only been in the mood for it lately, but I've been craving a cheese enchilada like it's the last thing to eat on earth. Finally, after a week of unsuccessfully finding a suitable cheese enchilada, my dad took me to this restaurant in town called Acapulco.
This place was AMAZING! Good food, good atmosphere, good margaritas, and a carne asada that left your mouth on fire in a good way. Last night we decided we'd try it again, as we were both dreaming of the carne asada. I tried to order take-out, but no one answered. So, got ready and drove all the way there only to discover THEY'VE CLOSED. Not just today, not just this week, but forever. WTF?!?! They couldn't have let us know last week? Fail! We ended up going to another Mexican restaurant, but their carne asada didn't even come close and the service left a lot to be desired. At least they had a good cheese enchilada! :)
