Operation: Nick Jonas

My sweet little niece Phoenix turned ten today and it just so happened that Nick Jonas (aka her favorite Jonai) was scheduled to appear at The Grove yesterday. So, with her Mother's approval I pulled her out of school mid-day and we went to see Nick. Here we are at the CRAZY event - Phoe made a sign for Nick and she was on my shoulders so she could see. I knew the chances of getting a pic might be slim, but she could at least see him in person. I'm pretty sure if I'd had the chance to see my beloved Ricky Schroder when I was that age I would've lost my mind. The crowd was INSANE! I'd never experienced The Jonai phenomenon in person, but my goodness! Total chaos. Nick is in the brown jacket above being interviewed by Mario Lopez. Sadly, despite our best efforts, this is the best pic we could get with both Nick and Phoe in it. Instead, we went shopping at The American Girl doll store and Phoe picked out her birthday gift - this little toy puppy named Pepper. Later that night - after several far more successful celeb encounters - Phoe attended a White Collar screening with me. During the Q&A with the cast, she dozed off a bit. Here we are at the end of our big Hollywood adventure. What a fun day spent with my little sweet pea! ;)
