Last week I saw an announcement for some event called The Stony Awards which was sponsored by High Times Magazine. Naturally, I thought this would be something my card-carrying, hemp loving sister would be totally into; I was right. We had a blast! Despite getting only the "cheap seats" we somehow ended up getting an open bar, into the VIP after party, and walked out of there with a few gift bags. Score! We also met a lot of fun people and saw some cool celebs. In fact, had it not been for Erin, I would've totally missed Jason Mewes (
from Jay and Silent Bob fame).
The funniest part of the night was just watching the people - especially anytime food was sent around at the party. The people who were standing near the kitchen got everything and each tray was devoured in 3.4 seconds. The people on the other end of the room? I'm afraid they may have starved. Standing on a rooftop watching a bunch of high people get the munchies was awesome.
This drink was a medicinal milkshake....interesting to say the least.
