Speaking of writing, Judd has a new book out called "I Found This Funny," which had a benefit the other night. As expected, Judd was super normal and down to earth...although in the brief moment I spent with him I couldn't help but feel I was in the presence of greatness. Don't mock me.

Pinky's Fandance - Judd Apatow
Let's face it- there aren't many filmmakers out there today who are quite as successful as Judd Apatow. In addition to being married to the adorable Leslie Mann, he was once roomies with Adam Sandler and credits Garry Shandling with teaching him how to write. Some of his movies include "Funny People," The 40-Year-Old Virgin," and "Knocked Up."

Halloween Goodies
OK, so I *may* be a bit biased, but here are a few of my fave costumes so far (although, to be fair, I haven't seen very many pictures yet). Interesting tidbit: More pictures are uploaded to Facebook on the day after Halloween than any other day of the year.
My sister and her ghoul family minus Spenser (since he's a teenager and way too cool for school).
Owen and Ava in their pre-run trial for the big day.
Shmegan's little vampire.
Shmegan's pirate.
Little Miss P as the cutest fairy ever. It's weird to see McP in an outfit that doesn't match mine, as we've been twiners the past few years....
McP and I as a couple of princesses.
McP the mouse and Pinky the cat.
I hope you all had a great Halloween!!!

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
I think this dress is suffering from bi-polar disorder.
Is that a dress or a diaper?
Speaking of diapers....
Is that skirt made out of sand paper?
Wow. That's a big forehead.

Halloween Carnival
After coming back from Jay's today, I made my way over to the Halloween carnival at Phoe & Max's school.
Here's Little Miss Phoe dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
My sister was dressed as a pink fairy and was having fun volunteering at different booths. This was taken right before she led the costume parade.
Speaking of the parade, here's an action shot of Phoe and Max.
The pink fairy strutting her stuff.
I'm not sure that scary henchmen (or whatever the technical term might be) spend a lot of time smiling in pictures. I'm just saying. While Spens did win the cake walk (and even offered me a cupcake on his own!), there aren't any pics because, per usual, he was way too cool for school.

Pinky's Fandance - Mandy Moore
While I realize it makes me sound even more like a 12-year-old girl, I love me some Mandy Moore. I know - I can't help it.
This was the third time I've seen her in my life and the first time I've gotten the photo op. Hooray! I thought she was completely adorable, but it's entirely possible that I'm completely biased. Damn inner teen.

No Soccer? No Problem!
Special note: I'm doing my best to blog entirely via iPad tonight....pics and all!
Today I drove down to my brother's place in order to watch my nephew, O, play his soccer game.
Unfortunately, the game ended up being cancelled due to (reportedly) wet fields (although we seemed to have zero problems with wetness on the fields ourselves....).
As we were already at the field, we made our own fun kicking the ball around, racing, and just running about.
Afterwards, we had lunch at Sharkey's (yum!) and O and I put a puzzle together.
My brother, Jay, and his wife, Vauri.
Best thing to hear all day? "Auntie, I missed you!"
Hard to believe he's my baby brother - how did he get so tall? Big thanks to Jay's super cute family for having me down. I had a blast!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Halloween Edition
Welcome to the Halloween edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Um, Meredith, sweetie....I'm sorry, but you simply cannot pull off Gaga (just as Al can't realistically pull off that Superman costume).
I never realized how popular the Dorothy costume was - at a Halloween party today, I saw at least five of them. What gives?
OK, I have to give props where props are due - Holly Madison totally rocked this costume.
Ellen dressing up as Snooki's hair poof? Genius!
I always love Kelly and Regis's costume choices every year.

Halloween Funnies
Pinky's Fandance - Cary Elwes
In the celeb appreciation world, there are many types of "gets:" - the ones you wait for and plan, the ones you accidentally stumble across, and then there's the perfect type of "get" where it seems all the stars align just in time for you to get your picture. Yes, I realize it sounds a *wee* bit dramatic, but just humor me here.Luckily, I was able to have the latter kind of get when meeting Cary Elwes (from The Princess Bride) the other day. I was actually waiting across the street for someone else, but had some time between the wait and when Cary should arrive for his movie. I decided to walk across the street and try to see if I could find him, although I wasn't sure I would. As fate would have it, I happened to cross at the exact time he was walking towards the theater. I literally crossed the street, saw him walking, took the picture as we were walking (impressive, no?) and went back to where I was originally waiting for someone else. Perfect timing!
The Evolution of the Playground
Once upon a time long ago and far away there was a world where the highlight of going to McDonald's was...well, McDonald's. If you were lucky there'd be a bench with Ronald McDonald's face on it and you'd get your 45 cent hamburger, a few fries, and your day had been made. We didn't have Happy Meals, we didn't have apples instead of fries, and we certainly didn't have playlands.
Of course, as I grew up I became a first-hand witness to the Happy Meal, the apple slices, and the playlands. Sadly, the playlands became big at the same time I was almost too big to play in them. Plus, they looked a lot like this sad looking thing. Don't get me wrong, to a ten-year-old, this set-up in the '80s was a dream come true, but looking back on it now is almost laughable.
Celebrity Wrap Up - Sunday Edition
Hello and welcome to Sunday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Holy hell. Would somebody please get this girl a brush?
Well, that's one creative use for aluminum foil. I wonder where their children are? We usually see them out with at least one or two of them...but now...they're nowhere to be found. What happened to Chris Pine's face? Is it plastic? Why does it look like that? Last I checked he was kinda hot.Speaking of someone being hot once upon a time...what hole did Robert Downey, Jr. crawl out of?
