Blood Poisoning: 47; Pinky: 0
Yesterday was the best and worst of days - after finding out about my new job, I noticed my leg was rapidly reddening and becoming sore. I'd hoped I could somehow soak the infection away (as bacteria enters my feet when they get dry and cracked), but alas, this was not to be. My dad took me to the Urgent Care (lots of fun for the uninsured) where they gave me a shot and prescription of antibiotics. Ugh. I'd hoped I'd be better today, but the infection seems to be spreading. Please send positive thoughts my way, as it seems to have traveled up my leg and is incredibly painful. I'm not sure it's ever spread this far before (unfortunately, I've had it more times than I can count, which is why I could identify it so fast).
On a lighter note, this sign was hanging up in the doctor's office as I was waiting. The happy and sad faces made me laugh. For the record, if my pain were a 10, I'd have a lot more than a sad face. Why couldn't they make a screaming in pain face?
