Does She Ever Age?

Ann Margret was at the Emmy awards last night and I'm pretty sure she hasn't aged a day. Look how beautiful and lovely she still is. I should be so lucky. Found a grey hair earlier this week. Gah!

Pinky's Fandance - Lisa Loeb

I think the best surprise celebrity at the Emmys last night was none other than the amazing singer Lisa Loeb. When I saw her from across the way I couldn't believe my luck - I've been a HUGE fan for years and years. Her music is magical and I used to love her reality show called #1 Single - it was so much fun to watch! It was about her quest for love and a family. Awesome. We also share a deep and abiding love for Hello Kitty. Instant BFFs. :)

I'm a Believer

While I've been a fairly loyal fan of my Canon digital camera with the flip screen for many years, it's so bulky and cumbersome I tend to drop it all the time. Lately it's been taking some shoddy pictures like this one below: How does one go from taking this type of picture (above) to taking this kind of picture (below)? The answer? Just add a Nikon coolpix camera. In my haste and frustration at my suck camera yesterday, I ran quickly to the store and picked this one up at the last minute. I had no idea if it'd work or if I'd be able to aim correctly, but I was SO pleasantly surprised. This camera is a rock star. I worship the size, the speed, the convenience, and the picture quality. Thank you, Nikon! Love it!
I'm a believer. See you later, Canon camera. I'm with Nikon now.

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up. Is Tom Hanks actually looking at Rita Wilson with appreciation? Or is he trying to figure out when the alien landing went down and clothed his wife?
Jane Krakowski is a beautiful woman, but her hair is less than fab. At least she's got some extra fabric on her hip in case she loses something from her dress. OK, we get it, Heidi - you've got legs. But at the Emmy awards how about a little less leg and a little more dress?Thomas Jane fascinates me. The fact that he's milling about barefoot is kind of amazing. And disturbing. And I'm completely and totally attracted to him.Tina Fey looked amazing, even though she's got a letter written to sphynx on her dress.

May the Pink be With You

Although I did love the floor length black dress I found for the Emmy awards, I had to add my own special brand of pink - why be normal, right? My sister and I were playing around with different options and she suggested this amazing hair with pink tips. I LOVED it so much! The cool pink rhinestone necklace worked out so well - especially after my sister found a matching clip for my hair. My personal stylist did great! It was really fun to get all gussied up. Now that I know more how the Emmys works, I'll be way better prepared next year - but we can talk more about that later.

Pinky's Fandance - Amy Poehler

Being a huge fan of SNL, as well as enjoying Parks and Rec, meeting Amy Poehler was something I've wanted to do for a long time. I missed her last year at Sundance and have been wishing I'd gone to that premiere ever since. I ran into her on the way out of the ceremony last night and was able to snap a quick pic. Could she be more adorable? I think not.

Top Three Pics

SOOOO much to share about the Emmys, but only have time to post a few pics. Will share more later...got almost 100 pictures in all (!!!!!) Here are my Top Three:

Celebrity Wrap Up - Monday Edition

Hello and welcome to today's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
January Jones apparently has something against hair brushes. After seeing her leave a club at 4 a.m., she also has something against sobriety. Ooops, did I say that out loud?
Speaking of liking the sauce, exactly how early did Jon Hamm start? When I saw him at 9 p.m., drink in hand, he didn't have a care in the world. Yum. He's so hot.
OMG, who let Kate into the Emmys? Don't they know the best part about the entire thing was the spoof of Kate at the beginning? It was amazing. If I were a fly on the wall, I'd imagine Amy Poehler just told Keri Russell that no one will ever believe that she's wearing a bra.
Who knew that someone with such poor hosting skills on his own show would kinda rock at the Emmys tonight? I stand corrected, Jimmy Fallon. I stand corrected (see, I can admit when I've made a mistake).

Happy Anniversary!!!

Yesterday marked the 11th wedding anniversary for my Mom and her husband, so I wanted to send them out a little blog shout-out! My step-dad is a huge fighter and is bouncing back from his surgery - to reward him, I've decided to NOT put a picture up of them on my blog since he hates his pictures so much. Happy Anniversary! I love you!

Photo AND Camera FAIL: David Conrad

One of my all-time favorite TV shows was a little known drama called Relativity. I worshipped this show so much that I probably would've married it if I could. It starred Kimberly Williams and David Conrad and it was this great love story. Both went onto to do other stuff, but I've always been dying to meet David Conrad (he was also in Miss Match and The Ghost Whisperer). When I imagined our meeting, however, I imagined he'd be fairly nice and that the photo would turn out well. Sadly, he doesn't seem to be looking at the camera AT ALL (= FAIL) and I look like a big ol' blur. Stupid camera. Another one bites the dust...I actually thought I might be calling David by the wrong name because he was so out of it...perhaps he'd just had a cocktail or two (let's hope)? I'm sure the next time we meet we'll be instant besties. How could we not be?

Pinky's Fandance - Joey Lawrence

This may sound ridiculous, but of all my great pictures last night, the one that might've gotten me the most excited (aside from the True Blood people) was Joey Lawrence? Can you hear that? Whoa! I not only remember watching Joey star on the TV sitcom Gimme a Break! about two million years ago, but I'm still completely in love with his pop music album (you heard me). It's still on my iPod (I SAID you heard me....) and I adore his voice. When I mentioned it last night, he said he's got another album coming out in October. Hooray! So stoked to meet him. He was really, really cool.

Swimming Party for O

Today's big swimming party in honor of Owen's fifth birthday was a big success. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a lot of fun in the pool. Even some of the bigger kids (read: adults) got in the pool, as well! A great time was had by all.
