My niece informed me today that I need to get a dog. When I asked her why she thought so, she said, "so you won't be lonely." When I told her I'm not lonely and have a roommate, she said, "But grandpa's always working or asleep. What if you need a hug?" Did you hear that? It's the sound of the arrow going through my heart. OUCH.
It's not that I'm necessarily against the idea of a dog, it's just that I don't think there's a dog small enough for me. I'd like a teacup version of a teacup dog. Do they have one of those? If so, I can get one and carry it around in my pocket so that I always have someone to hug.
