An Open Letter to Meredith Baxter (no longer Birney)

Dear Meredith Baxter (you know, it's really hard not to say Baxter-Birney...I'm just saying): When I opened up my daily email from www.people.com and was greeted with this hot breaking news story: "I'm a Lesbian Mom" my first thought was: Just exactly how desperate for attention are you? I haven't heard your name mentioned in like 200 years and now you're coming out of the closet? You do remember that you were the Mom on Family Ties, right? Is Alex jumping off a bridge right now? I mean, we all knew your youngest daughter was headed in that direction, but you? Come on. Who wants to think of Elise Keaton as a lesbian (not that there's anything wrong with that.....)? Unless you're currently working (or have done something other than a Hallmark movie in 10 years), I don't give a rat's a$$ about your personal life, name change, or anything else for that matter.
