My drive to California was fairly easy except for the fog and scary roads in the early morning. I was feeling pretty good and thought I'd successfully brought everything I needed to....that is, until a few hours into my drive. That's when it struck me that I did, in fact, forget the ham, which was to be our Christmas dinner (
and leftovers). Drat! Of course I was too far to turn around, so, alas, no ham was had for dinner. Instead, we went to a fantastic brunch down by the bay. This was our view from the table.
It was an amazing brunch and had such yummy selections (
as opposed to the Chinese buffet which threatened my life from the night before). We got there at the perfect time to make our movies afterwards. It was a nice, quiet, and low-key holiday.
