I love watching movies that I thought were going to suck (
because of listening to too many opinons from others) and actually enjoying them far more than I thought I would. Last night I FINALLY watched
Funny People, which is a movie I've been wanting to see for-e-ver. I can't remember why I didn't see it when it was out....
oh, that's right. I was distracted by a stupid mean boy. Anywho. I kept waiting for the bad, boring part, or to see when Adam Sandler's character turned into an even bigger jerk, but it never really happened. In fact, I really liked the movie. The cast was great and there were a lot of really funny parts.
In a similar fashion, I rented the new
Land of the Lost movie starring Will Ferrell and enjoyed it far more than I thought. Was it the greatest masterpiece ever? Of course not. But, as a fan of the original series, it was a nice reminder of the characters I loved growing up.
