Did I Miss Something?

So, I received an email the other day from some guy I was talking to online in May of 2008. His email said something to the effect of, "What happened to you? I'd like to get to know you better. We were talking one day and then you were gone..." Blah blah blah. Yes, that's how it is sometimes -whether you're dating online or in real life, sometimes things just don't progress. My annoyance isn't based on the email itself, but the time it took to notice I was gone. A year and a half? Really? I don't remember ever talking to him, what he looked like, or anything about him, so why would I want to start back up on that? Just wondering if anyone else found this odd?
