Timing is Everything
I've been thinking a lot about timing lately - especially after being so incredibly lucky and blessed this weekend. I mean, come on. Duran Duran (have I mentioned that I MET THEM?!!?) AND a jackpot?!? How can that be? Seriously, I was fine with just getting Simon LeBon's picture.....or even just going to the show. But then to get Roger and NICK?!!? And THEN the jackpot?!? Come on. But think about it. If I hadn't walked by at that EXACT second, I'd have missed my chance. If I'd gone to the casino in Mesquite the night before or if one person hadn't pulled as many times as they did, I wouldn't have won. All of these minor, random, minute things we do each day....and each one adds up to a perfect moment of timing at some point.
I've always been a huge believer that everything happens for a reason. Even when I'm crying over some stupid boy (do I do that? Have I done that recently?) I need to keep in mind that it's all happening for some reason unbeknownst to me. If I've learned anything from all the celebrities I've met (and stalked...wait, what?) is that TIMING IS EVERYTHING. You never know when you'll get lucky and happen upon, say, Liam Neeson just walking down the street because you and your buddy took a longer lunch than usual. See, random! Or is it? When trying to make big decisions, I try to remember things from the past. For example, when I had to decide whether to go to college at Rick's or BYU, I selected BYU. In hindsight, perhaps it wasn't the right choice for my overall. And yet, had I not gone there, I wouldn't have met my BYU girls (Shmegan, Crusty, Kimmie, Ginny, and Debra, to name a few) and where would my life be without them? I can't even imagine how different everything might be (would I be driving a minivan in Idaho with 8 kids in tow? Who can know?).
No particular reason for my ranting thoughts tonight. Just can't get over my lucky timing of late. Or, maybe it's just these essential oils making me crazy (er.....crazier). :)

I'm so glad you chose BYU too! I know the Minivan, 8 kids and Idaho may sound tempting some days, but you made the right choice.
Can't believe what a lucky weekend you had. You deserve some luck lately :)
