Hooray! I wasn't sure I'd be able to see the kids when I dropped off my brother, Jay, from the airport tonight, but luckily they'd just gotten back from watching some fireworks so I was able to see them. I can't believe how big they're getting! Owen was such a crack-up. I hadn't brought their gifts (Auntie may come bearing gifts...) since I thought they'd be asleep, so I was planning to bring them to the BBQ on the 4th. Jay didn't realize this and accidentally told Owen I had a gift for him. So, I had to break it to O that I didn't have it with me, but I'll have it tomorrow, if that's OK. He said to me, "No, it's not OK. I need it now." Oh, OK. :) He kills me! Jay said O loves saying things like, "Trust me on this one, Dad." He's 4!!! Ava is so big - she was walking all over and dancing around in circles (as well as completely mastering the iPhone). She even says all her animal sounds! Obviously, she's a genius child (as are all my nieces and nephews...and, no, I'm sure I'm not biased at all). :)
