Last night my friend Pablo (from Sundance) had a going away party at a downtown bar. He's headed to South America for a few months and had a little gathering for all his friends. While I didn't really know anyone aside from Pablo, I figured since I had the day off I should at least give it a shot.
Despite initially being hit on by a 70-year-old man (
which is a VERY generous guess at his age) who ran out of conversation five minutes in (
he actually said, "Well, that's all I've got" - WOW), I had a good time. Luckily, I ended up meeting someone else and we talked the rest of the night. It was fun - I'm glad I went.
