Growing up Mormon in California wasn't the same experience as growing up Mormon in Utah (where you were the majority). In California, being Mormon meant you were definitely part of the minority. We were lucky to have a cool group of people to experience this with and it's interesting that many of them now call Utah home. Because of this, someone organized a reunion for all the members of our old Stake in California for anyone living in Utah. I wasn't really expecting to recognize as many people as I did, nor did I really plan to stay, but it was a lot more fun than I thought. It was neat to see people I haven't seen in 20 years - especially the parents and everyone's kids. I'm glad I ended up going.
