This is a turkey. A nice, juicy, delicious looking turkey, but a turkey all the same. This, however, is a ham. Decidedly NOT a turkey. They are different meats.
I got a ham from work for Christmas, like usual, and planned to cook it over Easter. However, I ended up going to my aunt's house instead and never got around to cooking it (also of note: I don't know how to cook a ham, but that's beside the point). Despite seeing said ham in my freezer for the past five months, somehow my mind decided it was a turkey. So, I told McFamily that I've got this turkey we need to cook (and by we, I mean McB) for one of our Sunday dinners. When I went to get it out of my freezer, I still had no idea it was a ham. Nope, still thought it was a turkey. First, I left my house (en route to give the turkey to McB) without the ham/turkey. Nice move. Then, once I arrived at their house, it occured to me that my meat delivery was, in fact, a ham. Ooops. Too bad they got all the sides and everything ready for a turkey dinner. Oh, and to add insult to injury, McH hates ham. Crap! Needless to say, the ham is back in my freezer and I've got to run to Wal-mart tomorrow for a turkey. Blurgh.
