Please Stay on the Line....
So, I had to call Dell yesterday as my laptop power cord decided to commit suicide and cease to work for no apparent reason. Not only was getting someone on the phone a major ordeal (since Dell is located in India?), but once I got someone, he seemed to be a few cents short of a dollar. Bless his heart. He wanted to diagnose the problem by running tests on my laptop - the same computer which has no power because the cord won't light up. I said, "If the green light isn't coming on, it doesn't matter how the computer runs, it won't charge." Duh. Finally he agreed to send me a new one (since I just got the laptop in July) and then actually said to me, "OK, can you please wait for 15 minutes while I write this up?" I was like, "Are you kidding me?" No, he wasn't. What kind of customer service is that? Not stellar, I'll tell you that. :( At least my power cord shipped out yesterday...miracle of all miracles. I guess waiting on the phone was the right plan. :)
