Pinky's Fandance - Wednesday Edition
My next story is not one I'm very proud of, but at the same time, it had to be done. There I was, walking on Main Street last year, when I saw a friend of mine whose job it is to drive around the talent at the Festival. I didn't think he was working, so I went up to him to say hello and to my surprise he was driving Jack Black around for the day. Hooray! Well, Mr. Jack Black was talking to some children (a few little girls, to be exact) and they were very excited to talk to him and get his autograph. And, I must admit, watching him interact with them was adorable and fun to watch. One little girl even *tried* to get a picture.....but not in a very bold way. What she said (in the tiniest, teeniest little voice in the world) was, "My Mom would like a picture with you." But Jack Black was in a hurry. And Pinky was standing in the wings. So, while perhaps a more forceful person could've gotten a pic, alas, the little girl did not. Pinky, however, did because she was standing right there as he got in his car with her camera out, ready to click, and the entire process took all of two seconds. It took her twice as long to ask. I should've told her, "Stick with me, kid, and maybe next time you'll get that picture." I know, I know; I'm a terrible person (but a terrible person with a picture next to Jack Black). Oh, crap. See, I really am awful.
