Happy New Year!!!
Can I just say how happy I am for stupid, rotten, no-good 2009 to be on its way out? Beat it, 2009! No one wants you around here anymore. We hate you. I'm sorry, but it had to be said. I'm so looking forward to a new year, new experiences, new life, and a new attitude. It can't get here soon enough. Not sure if I'll blog when I'm in Iowa, so in case we don't talk until then have a very safe and Happy New Year!
Iowa, Here I Come
Tonight I'm flying out to visit my Mom in Iowa. Am I excited to see my Mom? Yes, very much so. Am I looking forward to relaxing and doing absolutely nothing for several days? Yes, of course. Am I looking forward to the long flight (with a layover to boot)? Heck no. I hate flying. Plus, I've never flown on U.S. Airways before, which adds a layer of hesitation to my travel woes (not to mention all the extra security this week....blurgh). I'll be so happy when I've landed safe and sound. Iowa, get ready, here I come! :)
Question of the Day
If you were ordering a pizza and you had one half of one topping and the other half another topping, wouldn't that be considered ONE topping? Last week I tried to order half pineapple, half olive pizza and the incredibly rude girl on the phone said it was two toppings. I calmly (well, ast least at first) tried to explain to her that, in fact, it was only one topping, since they were each only on one half, but she spit out, "Pineapples, olives, that's TWO toppings." Yes, in case you're wondering, that phone call ended with hanging up on her. No pizza was ordered from her that night. Beast.

So, exactly when is Zac Efron's metamorphosis into Brad Pitt going to be complete? Sometime soon perhaps?Egads! It's much too early in the morning to be subjected to this kind of torture. My eyes are bleeding.Well, now. Here's something to make my eyes feel better. Yummy goodness.Even Shiloh is looking at her dad like, "Are you kidding me with that beard?"Now, I could be mistaken, but wasn't Flashdance in like 1982?? Just wondering.

Could They Be Cuter? I Think Not
Fun Fun Fun
I was really excited to be in California for Christmas - mainly because I can't remember the last time I was there for Christmas. Since my parents had both been in Utah for several years, I stayed put here (which was nice to not travel too far, but a bummer that I always missed seeing my friends). Luckily, my BFF Lanette put together a little shindig at this new brewery in town called the Orcutt Brewing Company (which is owned by an old neighbor of mine). I was already looking forward to seeing some of my girlfriends, but then all these people came that I wasn't expecting - it was SO MUCH FUN!!! I'm still smiling from the night. :) Although I realize high school was *almost* 20 years ago (gasp!), my class was always really tight and have stayed good friends all these years. It was like Old Home that night. Awesome!
Happiness Is....
A new sexy picture of my TLF, Nick Rhodes. How YOU doin', Nick? Yes, I still love you. Yes, I will run away with you. Yes, I will have lots and lots of sex and babies with you (oh, crap, did I just say all of that out loud? My bad).
Celebrity Wrap Up, Wednesday Edition
Hello and welcome to Wednesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Is it wrong that I kind of love the jacket Paula's wearing?
Can I just say that I think Pink and Carey Hart are one of the cutest couple ever?Do you hear that? It's the sound of a million hearts breaking around the world. Heaven knows why though.Ah, young love. Why must they always match? Do they lay their clothes out the night before? For the holidays, Lindsay decided to be super fancy and wear sparkly tights-as-pants. How nice of her.
Brunch on the Bay
My drive to California was fairly easy except for the fog and scary roads in the early morning. I was feeling pretty good and thought I'd successfully brought everything I needed to....that is, until a few hours into my drive. That's when it struck me that I did, in fact, forget the ham, which was to be our Christmas dinner (and leftovers). Drat! Of course I was too far to turn around, so, alas, no ham was had for dinner. Instead, we went to a fantastic brunch down by the bay. This was our view from the table. It was an amazing brunch and had such yummy selections (as opposed to the Chinese buffet which threatened my life from the night before). We got there at the perfect time to make our movies afterwards. It was a nice, quiet, and low-key holiday.
