Christmas Past
Tonight I saw a car with a Christmas tree on top when I was driving home. It reminded me of how excited we'd get to pick out our tree at the local tree farm when I was little. Once we'd select the tree, we'd spend the night decorating it while drinking eggnog and eating chips and dip. We had so many holiday traditions that we looked forward to each year - making the paper ring chain where you tore off a ring per day to count down until Christmas, watching Frosty the Snowman (and any cheesy cartoon about Christmas on TV), having all the (annoying) relatives over on Christmas Eve after a fireside at church, and my mom's cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. I suppose as the holidays draw near I'm reminded of my family and all the holidays we spent together. Makes me a tad bit nostalgic....
