Sloooooow Bowling
To add insult to injury today, we bowled against the Slowest Bowling Team in the World. Nice enough ladies, all of them, but their average age is at least 100. Literally. I snapped a few pictures (as I'm sure they're unaware of the magic of technology) to be sure you got the full experience of our joy. The oldest one (let's call her Agnes *not her real name*) seemed to forget she was playing a game. I don't think I've ever seen anyone lollygag around more than poor little Agnes. And she couldn't seem to understand that two people could bowl next to each other at the same time. Bless her heart. I just don't get it - I mean, it's not as though she has time to spare; as it is, they probably pick her up from the rest home just to play in the league once a week. Why so slow? She'd sit down, eat some Werther's candy (is that what old women gnaw on?), and then aimlessly wander around. Or, as evidenced by the picture, leaning on the scoreboard. Sadly, the old ladies still kick our butts every time and we're incredibly shamed and sorry for that (but they have been bowling an entire half century longer than us). I was crocheting a blanket in between my turns and still managed to bowl faster than Agnes. Poor little thing.
