The Downside of Facebook

I know, I know, you never thought you'd hear me say that now, did you? But, I suppose, just like everything, Facebook can have a flaw or two. I mean, other than being completely addictive. For example, the status updates, while completely entertaining and interesting, can also be totally nerve-wracking. My friend just broke up with his girlfriend, who is also on Facebook (like the rest of the free world) and the other day he told me he thinks she's seeing someone else. Where did he get this idea? Because her status update said, "Jane Doe thinks every morning should start off like this." Um, harsh! Just as I found out about the multitudes of ex-boyfriends getting hitched via the Facebook relationship status, the status update can apparently shoot to kill. I told him to un-friend her, but that too would cause unnecessary drama. Who knew a social networking site could unwittingly ruin your social life? Of course, it's not going to keep me away (not when I'm playing such great Scrabble games against McH and Ruthie!), but I did think it was an interesting observation. I wonder what other treacheries are going on?
