An Open Letter to Belinda Carlisle

Dear Belinda, I just wanted to let you know how excited I am to see you in concert this week. I can't wait! I've been one of your biggest fans since you were singing with the Go-Go's whilst waterskiing ("Vacation" and "Our Lips Are Sealed"? Instant classics). I kissed a boy at the beach while listening to "Circle in the Sand," put "Vision of You" on my ex-boyfriend's mixed tape (yes, people still make those) and always sing loudly to "Mad About You." I've seen the Go-Go's in concert about a million times, but have never seen you solo....it should be quite a treat! Just so you know, it's entirely possible that we were meant to be BFF's, so it'd be great if you could watch for me on Thursday and come and say hello. That'd be great.
