How Do I Make a Toy of her Voice?
I had lunch with my friend Rachelle today. We used to work together at my old part-time job (which I referred to as "lame job" for the entire time I worked there, so you can imagine how much I loved it). The best thing about that job (aside from being paid to crochet) was that I walked away with two dear friends - Rachelle and Marisol. While Marisol, sadly, lives far away, I do have the occasional lunch with Rachelle where we catch up on each other's lives and usually exchange gifts (since we get together around birthdays and holidays). Obviously, we haven't gotten together in some time because today she brought me a little something for my birthday (which was in May). Although it may be hard to see in the picture, how great is the flamingo keychain and the waterglobe magnet? I TLF water globes! :) Especially with flamingos swimming around on the water. :)
So, Rachelle's special skill is that she can listen to any story and just basically spout her opinion like no one's business. She's a no fuss lady. When I told her about my BFF stopping all communciation (again), she said, "He's stupid. Forget him." Wow. Refreshing. She's so direct, I just want to clone her voice and sass into a little toy that spouts off with the touch of a button. That would rule.
On a related note, I got this cool email today with this quote:
There comes a point in your life when you realize
who matters,
who never did,
who won't anymore...
and who always will.
So, don't worry about people from your past,
there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
How do I etch that into my brain?
